Nurse Whitney
Athens Renaissance School is fortunate to have a certified RN on staff to support the health and well-being of our students and employees. Nurse Whitney is here to serve our school community in several important ways:
- Serving as health education resource for teachers, including support for lesson planning related to health and safety
- Conducting staff workshops on the prevention, identification, and treatment of communicable diseases and other health threats
- Informing teachers of relevant student health conditions and their role in supporting each student's overall care
- Promoting the health and well-being of school personnel through counseling and consultation
If your student requires medication or medical devices while on campus, you will need to complete the School Medication Prescriber form, linked below. This form must be signed by a physician and hand delivered directly to Nurse Whitney, along with the labeled and unopened medication. Students are not permitted to transport medication in their book bag. All medications must be brought to campus directly by a parent or guardian.
