About the Counselor

Ms. Lorri Haynes has been our school counselor since the school was established in 2016. She has been in education since 1995. Ms. Haynes has a BS in Education from the University of Alabama and a MA in School Counseling from the University of North Alabama. She is an Athens native and a 1990 graduate of Athens High School.

Ms. Haynes has two children. Both her son Locklin and daughter Sara Kathryn are Athens City Schools graduates.  She is very proud to live and work in such a quaint yet progressive small town. Ms. Haynes is honored to work at Athens Renaissance School, where the individual student is always the top priority for the faculty and staff.
